Visit from Dublin Zoo
We had a special visitor from Dublin Zoo who came to talk to the classes about all the wonderful animals they have there. Jim brought with him an elephant's foot, some animal skins, a turtle shell and an ostrich egg. He then showed a video of all the various zoo animals including their new arrivals, a baby giraffe, a baby Asian lion cub and the latest elephant calf. The children had a fantastic time listening to all of Jim's zoo stories. Maybe over the midterm break you might like to visit Dublin Zoo for yourselves and see all the animals face to face.
