North County Outreach Project

Christmas is an exciting time of year where we allow ourselves to overindulge, however for those who don't have the funds to do so, Christmas can be a time of worry and stress. That is why all the girls and boys in the school were asked by The Parents Association to bring in items that would help those less well off over Christmas. This initiative was set up by the North County Outreach project.

North County Outreach project is Christian all volunteer organisation with no government funding. They are a non profit organisation assisting and supporting homeless and struggling families by providing food and clothes and hygiene packs.

Edel Campbell is the volunteer from Balbriggan who just received an award from Balbriggan for her volunteer work.

Here is a list of some of the  products that the children brought in.
  • Selection boxes
  • Mince pies
  • Small bottles of water or fizzy drinks
  • Biscuits
  • Cereal bars
  • Choc bars
  • Coffee, tea
  • Sugar
  • New underwear and socks ladies and gents
  • Hats and gloves new or in good condition.
Take a look at how many boxes were filled by the children of Ss Peter and Paul JNS.

A huge thank you to each and every family that took the time to bring in something and thank you so much to the Parents Association for coordinating the process. These items will definitely bring some cheer to those less fortunate over this festive season.
