Tesco Community Fund
Great news, our school has been chosen as the recipient of Tesco Blue Tokens, where we could win up to €1000. Every time you shop in your local Tesco in Millfield shopping centre you'll receive a goodwill token which you can use to vote for the cause that means the most to you. We are asking all our families here at SS Peter and Paul to please choose our school when deciding where to place your blue token. Thank you.

Welcome Back!!!
Welcome back everyone to another school year. We hope you enjoyed the holidays and are well rested for a new school term. We would like to especially welcome all our new 112 junior infants and their families. They all look so happy and eager to learn. We hope all the boys and girls settle in well and make lots of new friends.
We have some new teachers joining our staff this year. In First Class we have Mrs McNamee (Rm 8) and in Second Class we have Mrs O Donnell (Rm 3). We are also so happy to welcome back onto our staff Ms Ní Mhaonaigh (RM 11), who is back from her travels around the globe. They have all settled in very well.
Remember, if you have changed your contact details over the summer, could you please inform Jennifer, the school secretary, so she can update your child's file. Thank You.

Mr Donovan's Class Projects
The boys and girls in Room 3 have been very busy working on their individual end of year projects. Each one was so original and different. They spent a lot of time and effort researching their project and thinking about how they were going to present their work. Well done everyone, you all did a fantastic job. Take a look at the creativity and the imagination that went into their work.

Icecream Funday
Our Icecream Funday in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland was a great success. Our fantastic helpers, Yvonne, Jennifer, Fiona and Sínead, were flat out cutting up the blocks of ice cream and serving up the slices in wafers. The children really enjoyed their yummy treat, especially after all the games and activities they were doing for Active Week. Thank you to all who brought in the €2 contribution. In total we managed to raise €918.60. Well done everyone, it will go towards a very worthy organisation.

First Holy Communion
First Holy Communion
We would like to wish our four 2nd classes a wonderful day of celebration this Saturday, 19th May, as the pupils receive their First Holy Communion. We hope they enjoy the morning and their special day with their family and friends. Saturday will be the culmination of months of preparation by pupils, teachers and their parents. A huge amount of effort goes into the two Communion masses. Special thanks in advance go to the four class teachers- Mr Goldrick, Mr Donovan, Mr Breen and Mrs. Cummins for all their hard work with their classes.
Thanks also go to Ms. O’Brien, Mr. Gallagher and the school choir for all their efforts and practice so far this year. Our choir and music from Mr Gallagher & Ms Donnelly add so much to the masses on the day and make them even more special.
