Book Fair

You are invited to the Ss Peter and Paul JNS Book Fair!

 It starts on Tuesday the 13th of November and runs until Friday the 16th November. On sale at the fair will be hundreds of great books for children of all ages priced at 30%-50% off shop prices, making it a great opportunity to purchase some excellent reading material for your children and perhaps a few Christmas presents as well, whilst also benefiting the school.

The following time and days have been allocated to each class for the pupils and parents to attend the book fair.

Tuesday 13th November: 9.00-10.00am - Junior Infants
Wednesday 14th November: 9.00-10.00am - Senior Infants
Thursday 15th November: 9.00-10.00am - First Class
Friday 16th November: 9.00-10.00am - Second Class

Christmas Shoebox Appeal

Don't forget to return your Christmas Shoebox to the school office this week. The last day for this will be Wednesday 14th November. This is a very worthy cause, "your shoebox gifts will be given into the hands of a needy child, irrespective of his or her race, religion, ethnicity, or background – who all equally deserve a shoebox gift." Active Flag

We here at  SS Peter and Paul JNS are striving to achieve a more active school community.
With help from our teachers, students, parents and wider community we hope our school will be recognised as an official ‘Active School’ and be rewarded with an Active School Flag.

______Yoga in School_____

Not only are we trying to improve the children's physical activity in school, we are also helping them to relax their bodies and soothe their minds. The junior infants have therefore been practising Cosmic Yoga in the classroom. It is a great way for the children to slow down and focus their brains which in turn improves concentration levels. Why not take the time to try it at home as a family, turn off all screens, put on some relaxing music and stretch out those muscles.
