Little Music Makers

We at SS Peter & Pauls were delighted to welcome Maria Sheil from ‘Little Music Makers’ back to the school for some interactive music workshops. Over the past number of weeks all classes enjoyed two workshops with Maria. This is in keeping with the school’s focus on Music this year. Junior and Senior Infants enjoyed an introduction to the Dalcroze method which incorporates the basic elements of music- rhythm, melody, harmony with body movements to provide and multi- dimensional approach to music learning. 1^st and 2^nd classes built on the basics covered in their workshops last year and incorporated some musical notation work into the sessions. Each class was buzzing and so enthusiastic after each workshop. Many thanks go to Maria for her time and effort over the past four weeks.
