Biodiversity Plaques

Summer is finally here and we are loving getting out in the sunshine and bringing our lessons outside. As part of our SESE curriculum programme, we are learning about the life cycles of various creatures and plants. We now have an area outside where we can learn the names of these creatures and plants in English as well as in Irish, thanks to these beautiful new wildlife plaques from

 www.biodiversityinschools.com

They are so colourful against our garden mural and the children love walking past them and identifying the different species.

We also added some beautiful new birdhouses to our Bio-diversity space, which were made by our very own talented caretaker, Pshemeck.

The Student Council then did a great job painting them in beautiful bright colours. Here's hoping we have some new residents to our school soon.
