Science Week
In the name of science and good fun, we held Science Week a little later than usual this year. It was a great success, organised by Mrs Bouzzah (our Science Coordinator) and helped along by the sunny weather.
Each day the senior classes gathered outside as Mrs Bouzzah measured and weighed carrots and potatoes. The children guessed, estimated and cheered on the winning vegetables!!
And what winners there were...the longest carrot was a record breaking 30cm long and the heaviest potato weighed in at a massive 850g!!

Paper Plane Aeroplane Competition
The paper aeroplane enthusiasts were busy designing and building prototypes on A4 paper. The finalists then flew them down the corridor in an effort to hold a "fair test" with no wind assistance. The longest flights were measured. There were many differing designs and no specific design proved better than another, whether it be Concorde, fighter jet or a light aircraft-they all flew well.
1st Class
Max, Kordian and Mark
2nd Class
Jack, Caleb and Ryan
Room 8
Thanks to all the children for their participation and to Mrs Bouzzah for her enthusiasm!!
There were lots of other fun science activities happening throughout the classrooms that week too.
